Edward O'Toole

Artists (N-Z)

Born in Dublin, of a Wicklow father and Westmeath mother, Edward's introduction to watercolours was at Bray Technical School by Mrs. Keogh, a very patient and kind teacher who lived to over one hundred years of age. Later, he was inspired by Yann Renard Gaulet, the famous Breton artist and sculptor.

Another great teacher Ms. Helen Phontfrey introduced him to oil painting. Edward was further inspired by Ms. Patricia Ahern-O'Farrell with her wonderful group at Upper Dargle Road, Bray, and presently with Noirín Dodd, a very skilled artist who gives great encouragement to all of her students.
